Mama Dina Anyolo still recalls her son’s baptism day. Fr Noel McHenry, an Irish priest of St Patricks Missionary Society, picked him out of the group of catechumens and asked him to stand on the altar, gave him a candle, and was overheard saying, “Stand right here beside me, you will grow to become a priest.”
At the time Dina was not Catholic. She had presumed that her son would fellowship with her at the Friends Church, but she had married into a Catholic family, and her co-wife was diligently guiding the family into the Catholic faith.
