The Competency Based Curriculum (CBC), designed by the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) and launched by the Ministry of Education in the year 2017, is designed to emphasize the significance of developing skills and knowledge as well as applying those competencies to real life situations.
PARENTS AND LEARNING PROCESS
New roles of parents and teachers continue to emerge as the CBC is implemented and discussed. Research shows that when parents are involved in children’s education, the children achieve better learning outcomes. The role of a parent or caregiver evolves as children get older.
