Balancing career and family life is a big challenge for many people today. Some couples have parted ways because either both are too busy for each other, or one of them has no time for the other or even for the children.
Every family needs a source of income that will allow them to provide needs such as education, medical care, food, clothing and proper shelter.
The rising cost of living has today pushed couples to work harder to provide for their families with some partners having to work long hours or away from home to be able to meet the basic demands of the family.
This means spending a lot of time away from the family. The question is, what can we do to keep up with the family and still be able to hold the much needed careers?
Unless you wake up very early in the morning to beat the morning traffic, it is advisable that you have some time together as a family. If this cannot happen during the weekdays, try and manage it out over the weekends.
The other way to keep up with the family is to make phone calls to your spouse or to the children when you are away at work.
