70 years ago, selfless men and women of God, full of love and kindness, and guided by Mother Mary, Our Lady of Consolation, made the rough terrains of Baragoi their home. They went to evangelize, witnessing the risen Christ, and transforming the lives of the Samburu people. A community of semi-nomadic pastoralists in northern Kenya, currently Samburu County.
After seven decades of zealous service to the community of Samburu North, these men and women of great valour and compassion passed the baton of faith into the hands of the local diocesan priests. The handing over ceremony was a joyous occasion filled with pomp and fulfillment of a mission accomplished.
