When Sister Elizabeth Isingi picked “Influence of Marriage Preparation on Family Sustainability” as her area of research for a master’s degree in Religious Studies, she did not realize that she had stumbled into an important issue that would culminate in her publishing two book as guides to Christian marriage preparation. Lourine Oluoch interviews Sr Isingi on what it takes to properly prepare for a Christian marriage.
Who is Sister Elizabeth?
My name is Sr Elizabeth Isingi of the little Sisters of St. Francis of Assisi. I come from Makueni, Kenya. I have a Diploma in Catechesis and Pastoral Ministry from the Institute of Catechesis and Pastoral Ministry, Chemichemi ya Uzima, A BA in Leadership and Management from DePaul University, Chicago, and a Master’s Degree in Religious Studies from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA). I am currently a PhD student at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.
What made you want to write a book on marriage preparation?
