Did you know that the Catholic Diocese of Garissa at 142,704 sq2 is the biggest catholic diocese in Kenya? However it has the least number of Catholic faithful. Bordering Ethiopia to the North and Somalia to the East, the diocese serves Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, and Tana River counties which are predominantly Muslim.
According to Bishop Alessandro, the journey of the foundation of faith in Garissa can be traced back to the last part of the 16th century through the Portuguese Augustinian Missionaries in Faza, on the Island of Pate and in Lamu. ..Click here to get your copy
