At a height of 1.58 Meters Mary Jepkosgei Keitany, is slight in stature, soft spoken with a laid back presence.
However, there is nothing slight about her achievements in the world of athletics as the mother of two holds the world’s record in women’s only marathon with a total of 10 gold, four silver and two bronze medals under her belt in various races.
Mary’s most notable victory was the 2017 London Marathon in a time of 2:17:01.
As of November 2019, she sits third at both the marathon and half marathon. Her personal bests are half marathon 64:55 Ras Al Khaimah 2018, and Marathon 2:17:01 World record, 2017.
Her success, she says has not been just about talent, but values and her relationship with God.
